Chosen Generation Focuses
Word of God: At Chosen Generation, we believe in the uncompromised Word of God which is the Bible. Everything that we teach and preach will be based on the scriptures. It's important that we make the word of God our emphasis in these last days.
Worship: Worship refers to knowing God and showing reverence for his divinity. Chosen Generation will make worship a emphasis. Worship is not a once a week thing, it is a lifestyle. This lifestyle means to do everything to give glory, honor, and praise to God. This lifestyle also refers to being completely dependent on God.
Prayer: Every ministry should be built on prayer. To a further extent, every life should be built on prayer. At Chosen Generation, prayer will be a major emphasis. We hope to help guide others in establishing their personal prayer lives, but we also believe in corporate prayer (praying together). At our young adult services and organization meetings, we plan to pray together about the purposes of God.
Capacity Building: Capacity building relates to discipleship. Capacity building focuses on growth. As believers, we should grow every day to go on to maturity. Therefore, we make capacity building one our main goals. At Chosen Generation, you will grow in your Christian walk and grow closer to Jesus every time we meet.
Discipleship: Discipleship poses the question “How do we grow to be more like Jesus?” This should be the goal for all believers. The Apostle Paul said "follow me as I follow Christ" (1 Cor. 11:1). Every Chosen Generation leader has adopted that mentality.
Connect: Connects focuses on fellowship and evangelism. Fellowship is considered friendly association with people who share the same interests. This means that we want to spend time with you. It's not just about getting together to pray, preach, or worship. We should spend time together outside of our organization meetings or young adult services.
Evangelism: Evangelism means preaching, announcing, or otherwise communicating the gospel, our salvation. It's delivering the message that Jesus Christ is not only the Son of God but also gave his life as a sacrifice for our sins. He ensured eternal life for all those who believe. We aim to not only preach the Gospel, but to also express the Gospel. This can be done through outreaches and community services. But it can also be done in your everyday life.
Serve: Serve refers to using ministry gifts to edify the body of Christ, reach out into the community, and to show the love of God. The word of God says that ministers should equip the saints for the work of the ministry so that maturity and fullness can be attained (Ephesians 4:11-16). Therefore, the goal is to equip each new Chosen Generation member to do ministry. It may not be preaching, teaching, or singing, but everyone has a ministry. It could be painting or photography or treating patients as a doctor. We all have a role in advancing the kingdom. God has given gifts to all of us, and he has given us purpose. It's our responsibility to walk in it.
